Yoga

To teach is to learn twice.

Teaching yoga allows my passion to become my purpose.

For me teaching yoga is something magical - I love to share my passion with others,  to see the students become more aware of their bodies, to notice the quieting down of their minds,  and to expand the playful attitude of yoga into the "real" life. The sparkling eyes of the students after the class, the inner beauty that shines out of their bodies,  the words of gratitude and much much more make teaching such a blessing!

Yoga Classes in Zürich

I am happy to share that I am currently teaching Yoga for Charity Classes in Witikon!

The classes take place in the GZ Witikon Gemeindesaal (Witikonerstrasse 279, right between “Honold” and “Witiker) on Thursday evenings 8pm - 9.15pm. It is a sweaty Flow class with both strength building and stretching elements. What I particularly love about this class is that it’s a charity class; all income will be donated to givewell.org.

I love bringing humor and joy onto the mat - hopefully you'll leave the mat with a smiling face. If it’s the first time that you’re joining please write me a Whats-App message or contact me here.

Pre- and postnatal Yoga

To me, teaching prenatal yoga is something magical. It's a way to accompany a woman and her baby during this crucial time of creation. It's about empowering women to see pregnancy as something beautiful, as something that makes them both vulnerable and strong. It's about helping them to prepare physically, mentally and spiritually for labour.

Yoga Teacher Trainings

It is both an honour and a joy to be a senior anatomy and yoga teacher for the

Since 2012 I share my knowledge about anatomy and physiology to help the teachers-to-be to create safe classes and to gain a deeper understanding of the human body. It's such a beautiful experience to see the aspiring teachers grow and become not good, but extraordinary yoga teachers!

I'd love to give you a private class - for details please contact me

Whether teaching yoga or anatomy, Mélanie is quite possibly one of the best teachers I have ever experienced! I think this might be due to her unique and extraordinarily passionate approach to whatever she chooses to take on. Her ability to be creative, enthusiastic and encouraging and also have a smile that stretches miles makes it virtually impossible not feel excited and inspired! Some people are just meant to be teachers. Mélanie is one of them!

During my teacher training with Mélanie, I was amazed at her ability to teach anatomy in a digestible way and keep students engaged. Her background in the medical field set the foundation for sound teaching but it was her love for teaching yoga that shined through. Throughout the training I felt supported by Mélanie and her openness to help others in any way she could. Mélanie has been such an inspiration and I am grateful to have been led by her.

Mél is an enthusiastic and energetic teacher with so much to offer her students. Her background as an emergency doctor makes her uniquely qualified to lead bodies through a safe practice. But better yet, she has a zest for life that is contagious and unparalleled. Classes with Mél are fun and delightful and inspire community among strangers.
